Jason Lee Lawson, Ponca City resident, passed away Friday, November 5, 2010. He was 26.
Jason was born August 7, 1984 in Ponca City, Oklahoma the son of Kevin Leroy Lawson and Milissa Denise Widener Lawson. He graduated from Ponca City High School and was employed at Sober Brothers, Inc. of Ponca City at the time of his death. Jason was engaged to Kari Moss of Ponca City. Jason enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding horses and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.
He is survived by his parents children, Jacob, Logan and Annabella, not yet born grandparents, Barbara and Don Hargraves and Fredia and Don Widener both of Ponca City, Oklahoma brothers, Matthew Lawson, Kevin Lawson Jr., Micah Powell, Christian Powell and Brandon Widener all of Ponca City, Oklahoma sisters, April Crowder and Carrie Voegele of Ponca City, Oklahoma as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his great grandparents, Sally and Eddie Gooch, Amy Widener, Anna Mae and Francis Thornton and one brother, Jonathan Lane Powell.
Casket bearers for the service will be Matthew Lawson, Kevin Lawson, Seth Dyer, Billy Weaver, Josh Widener, Kyle Lawson, Micah Powell and Chris Powell. The honorary casket bearer will be Jared McGuire.
The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Osage Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Jack Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
