Dale Ray Klinger, age 79, of Ponca City, Oklahoma passed away August 5, 2019 at Alliance Health Center, in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM, on Friday, August 9, 2019 at First Lutheran Church with officiating. Dale will be laid to rest at Odd Fellows Cemetery following the service.

Dale was born on January 16, 1940 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Ernest and Lillian (Fredrick) Klinger. Dale grew up in Ponca City and attended McKinnley Grade School and East Junior High, before graduating from Ponca City High School in 1958. He married Lois Jane (Johns) on November 22, 1958 in Ponca City. Worked as a craft foreman in research and development at ConocoPhillips, retiring after 33 years. Dale loved his church. he also loved to garden, and was a great craftsman and wood worker, having built many things, including a she shed for Lois. He will be remembered as a very loving man.

Survivors include: his son, Clark Klinger, of Ponca City; sister, Marjorie Peterson, ofKimberling City, Missouri; sister-in-law, Susie Klinger, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother-in-law Don Earl Mowdy of Citronelle, AL; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Preceding in death were his wife Lois; daughter, Mary Sue; grandson, David; his parents, brother, Jim Klinger, sister, Barbara.

Casket bearers will be Clarke Klinger, Ernie Mintz, Ethan Mintz, James Klinger, Seth Klinger, Brian Sheldon, Drew Mowdy, and Rick Mowdy. Honorary Casket bearers will be Stokes Sheldon, Louie Sheldon, and Elliott Klinger.
