Marilyn Hadden Keltner of Ponca City passed away Saturday evening, January 5, 2019. She was 91 years of age. Marilyn was born July 16, 1927 in Ponca City to Jesse James and Marie Rogers Hadden.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City with Pastor Tom Howard officiating. The family has asked that memorial contributions be made in her name to the St Jude’s Children’s hospital.
Marilyn grew up in Ponca City and attended the Ponca City school system. Marilyn married Charles Kenneth Keltner in August 18, 1947 and they made their home in Ponca City. During her early years while raising her family she was a dedicated Den Mother for her boys, attending their sporting events and she enjoyed summer vacations travelling the united states in their car. She was a collector of cook books and she was a very good cook. The family moved to New Orleans in 1970 and then to Rockport Tx in 1982 and she returned to Ponca City in 1990.
She is survived by her Son; Richard and wife Roberta Keltner of Monroe, Louisiana, 1 sister; Juanita Milenski of Stockdale, Arizona 2 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Husband in 2012, 1 son Mark Kenneth Keltner, 1 brother; Jimmy Hadden and 1 sister Nila Braden.
