Dewey Wayne Kelly, longtime resident of the Bressie community, passed away Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Ponca City Medical Center. He was 82.

Dewey was born May 4, 1928 at Bressie. His early education was received in the Rein School, later attending Ponca City Schools, graduating in 1947. He was active in F.F.A. where he showed various livestock that included dairy cattle, Hereford and Brown Swiss. He was married to Genevieve Ione Poulter on January 1, 1949 in Ponca City, making their lifelong home in the Bressie community. Dewey was a longtime member of the Trailblazer Saddle Club and in 1977 started the Dewey Kelly Trail Ride. His enjoyments included farming, his draft horses and attending livestock shows.

He is survived by his special companion, Betty Wilson of Guthrie, Oklahoma six children, David Kelly and wife Brenda, Glenn Kelly and wife Debbie, Darrell Kelly and wife Lauri, Dennis Kelly and wife Ann, Nancy Kelly Mooney and husband Roger, and Barbara Kelly Spears and husband Eddie grandchildren Michael, Krystal, Heather, Shawn, Yvonne, Christie, Layne, Lacey, Taylor, Travis, Jerad, Branden, Justin, Candace, Kimberly, Beth and Lauren great grandchildren, Meghan, Rylee, Carlee, Madelyn, Kyle, Charity, Trenton, Emmie, Halley, Bella, Addison, Braelyn, Wyatt, Jaelyn, Emalee and Ross soon to be born great grandchildren, Rymingtin and Ashlynn extended family Billy and Lucy Cly, Phillip Cly, Brenda Cly, Phyllis Cly, Cherisa Osborn and Clayton many other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents his wife, Genevieve in 1996 one brother, Glenn Kelly.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at the Victory Worship Center, 618 East Hartford. Minister Chris Short will preside with burial to follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
