Gillentine, Sr., Charles F., age 79, of Collinsville, OK, formerly of Ponca City, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in Collinsville.

Friends and loved ones may pay their respects at the funeral home from 12-8pm Saturday and 1-8pm Sunday. A funeral ceremony to gratefully remember his life will be held at 2:00pm Monday, May 8, 2017 in the chapel at Trout Funeral Home & Crematory. Following the ceremony, he will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Patsy at the Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Charles was born on July 8, 1937 in Pruitt, TX to J. R. and Virginia (Merritt) Gillentine. He was raised in East Texas. On June 12, 1964, Charles married Patsy Ann James in Tyler, TX. They made their home in Ponca City in 1981. He owned and operated Charlie's Flea Market from 1998-2003. Later, he moved to Collinsville to be near his family. Over the years, Charles enjoyed working with leather to create nice keepsakes for his friends and family. When Charles was able, he was an active member of Masonic Lodge 83 in Ponca City.

Survivors include his son Charles "Chip" Gillentine, Jr. and wife Tami of Oologah, OK, daughter Vickey Chapman of Paden, OK, brother Robert Dalton of Mesquite, TX, grandchildren: Jennifer Creekmore of Oologah, OK, Samantha Ricketts of Stillwater, OK, Brandon Creekmore of Oologah, OK, Nikki Chandler of Owasso, OK, Kristi Chandler of Paden, OK, Barry Chandler of Paden, OK, Renee Chapman of Paden, OK, Zack Chapman of Paden, OK and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy, two brothers, Ronald and Donald Gillentine, one daughter, Lynne Nelon, and grandson, Christopher Ryan Gillentine.
