Keith Gilbert
December 21, 1933 - January 29, 2026

Charles "Keith" Gilbert, age 92, of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, passed away on January 29, 2026. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Christian Life Church in Tonkawa, with burial immediately following at the IOOF Tonkawa Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 505 Thunderbird Road, Tonkawa, Oklahoma 74653.

Keith was born on December 21, 1933, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Earl and Leona (Morril) Gilbert. He was a proud Oklahoman who spent his life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. He married the love of his life, Iva Marie (Prilliman) Gilbert, on Easter Sunday, April 5, 1953, at Lamont Christian Church. Together, they shared many years of love, devotion, and partnership.

Keith honorably served in the United States Army before continuing his education at Northern Oklahoma College and later at Oklahoma State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Industrial Arts Education. He lived a life of purpose through his dual careers as a farmer and educator, spending countless hours in the fields and in the classroom. Known for his strong work ethic and steady presence, Keith was deeply devoted to his family and treasured the time spent with his children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment together.

Keith is survived by his loving wife, Iva Marie Gilbert of Tonkawa; his son, David (Deanna) Gilbert of Carbondale, Illinois, and their children, Kara and Keith; his daughter, Christi (Paul) Stinchcomb of Allen, Texas, and their children, Garrett and Trent; and his daughter, Katrina (Steve) Ruggs of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and their children, Kyle, Blake, and Wylie. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one sister, and lived a life guided by faith, love, and family. He will be forever missed by those who knew and loved him.
