Elsie Mae Frame, Ponca City Resident, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the Ponca City Nursing and Rehab Center. She was 89.

Elsie was born the daughter of James Wright and Jessie Elizabeth Terwilleger Wright on March 13, 1920 in Osage County near the 9-Mile corner in Oklahoma. She grew up in Osage County and attended Braden School and Burbank High School where she was a basketball player. She graduated from Burbank High School in 1939. Elsie Married Forrest J. Frame in on June 28, 1941 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma and to this union, four children were born. Elsie was a very creative lady who enjoyed crocheting, knitting and doing craftwork. She loved to read and travel throughout the United States as well. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Bonnie Hambleton and husband, Gene, Connie Hambleton and husband, Kieth, Jack Frame and wife, Joyce all of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Dan Frame and wife, Yvonne of Ridgecrest, California; grandchildren, Kristi Hambleton of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Craig Hambleton of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Marcus Frame of San Jose, California, Rigel Frame of Palm City, Florida, Kevin Frame of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Brian Frame of Kansas City, Kansas and Mark Frame of Wichita, Kansas; 16 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Forrest in 1972; granddaughter, Kelli Ramsey; brothers, Cecil Wright and Adelbert Wright; and sisters, Lottie Trogden, Gladys Hadlock, Elizabeth Wright and Genevieve Wright.

The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 10, 2009 at I.O.O.F. Cemetery with The Rev. Tom Howard, Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 1904 North Union, Ste. 103, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601.
