Rites Set Today For Lester Fisher
Funeral services for Lester Fisher, 62, will be held at 1 PM Sunday at the First Christian Church. Fisher died Friday morning at his home, 825 N. Pine. He came to Ponca City in 1924 and was an employee of Continental Oil Company for 28 years. He was a member of the Community Christian Church and the Odd Fellows Lodge.
His survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lola Fisher of the home; three daughters, Mrs. W. D. Wright, 213 N. Birch; Mrs. Helen Gaines, 510 E. Walnut, and Mrs. Leroy Pulliam, 825 N. Pine, and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of the Odd Fellows Lodge. They will include George Turner, Arlo Case, D. E. Fincher, Cecil Ferguson, F. M. Contron and Norman Hiatt.
Honorary pallbearers for the service are H. A. Mertz, Lester Barnes, John Giles, F. M. Paxton, C. L. Wayman, Charles Goldman, Charles Camerer, Jay Kelley, J. E. Williams, C. C. Titus, Harry Kimball, Dave Lindsay, John Lawler, J. J. Watts, Leo Norris, C. L. Wilkerson, J. E. Harris, Floyd Chambers, Art Golay, O. A. Kinzie, Charles Blimm, Carl Turner, R. H. Keathly, Lester Stewart, Jake T. Page, Bill Miller, A. L. Harney, A. L. Becker, Doctor W. O. Armstrong, Ed Riley, R. O. Wilson, Sherman Wittmer, V. G. Soika, W. E. Pigg, O. E. Crites, J. E. Patterson, Roy Gallagher, John Wilson, Tom Fitzpatrick, A. E. Warren, V. H. Conner, G. W. Gilchrist, Claude May, Charles Gallagher and George Hodgson.
The Rev. I. H. Witt will officiate at the service and burial will be in the I00F Cemetery. E. M. Trout and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
