Linda J. Wininger Epperson longtime Ponca City resident passed away in Ponca City. She was 69 years of age.

Linda was born April 5, 1948, in Ponca City, to Thomas and Janna Pinegar Wininger. Linda grew up in the Ponca City area, graduating from Ponca City High School. In 1966, a union of marriage was joined with Leonard Epperson. Linda relocated briefly to the San Diego, Calif., area in support of her husband's active duty with the United States Navy. She later returned to the Ponca City area, attending some classes at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, and also attended Cosmetology School in Ponca City. Linda's family was her main focus for many years. Linda's home was always opened to friends and family, her backyard and the swimming pool was the place to be during the summer time. When her grandkids came along they became the focus of her attention as she was very involved in their activities through the years. Linda worked for Westminster Village in the administration office for 14 years and then went to work for Via Christi at Home, later changing to Vita Care Medical as their billing specialist, she then retired in 2013.

Survivors include two daughters, Janna Paulson and husband, Don, of Broken Arrow, Jill Jordan of Ponca City; one sister, Janice Taylor and husband, Larry, of Ponca City; four grandchildren, Brandon Pemberton, Baylee Pemberton, Abbey Paulson and Easton Jordan. Also surviving is a nephew, David Taylor, spouse, Billie, and great-niece, Audrey. Linda was also an aunt to many numerous nieces and nephews to the Epperson Family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, in the First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Sunie Stolhand officiating. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Honorary casket bearers include, Ryan Alden, Bradley Cassity, Jack Hodges, Erik Jordan, Easton Jordan, Teagun Jordan, Don Paulson, Brandon Pemberton, Gary Sallee, Mark Strange and David Taylor.
