Ponca City IOOF Cemetery

Candace Cherris Davis, our precious angel sent to us on December 4, 1982 returned to our Lord in Heaven on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. She was 33 years of age.

Candace was the third child born to Solomon and Yvonne (Masters) Davis. Candace was a devoted daughter, sister and mother. In 2001 she graduated from Po-Hi and later received her CNA certification and began her life caring for others in need. Candace was full of energy and love, always willing to help when and where she could. The mother of three beautiful angels of her own, Dezmund, Jahmire and Ian. Nothing was more important to her than her angels, family and friends.

Candace was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Solomon Davis Sr.; maternal grandparents Joe and Jewel Masters, one brother, Brian Davis and a host of other family members waiting at Heaven's Pearly Gates to welcome her home.

Leaving behind to cherish and celebrate her memory are her parents Solomon and Yvonne, a brother, Anthony Davis; Grandmother Ida Davis; her angels Dezmund, Jahmire and Ian; uncles and aunts from both Davis and Masters Family; and a multitude of cousins and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Carolyn Renfro Event Center, 445 Fairview, Ponca City. The Rev. Dale Dailey of Dallas, Texas will be the presiding minister. Candace will be laid to rest in the Ponca City I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
