He recently purchased his own Henry rifle that he was very proud of. He enjoyed spending summer days outside, with his family, having cookouts and watching the grandchildren run and play in the yard. He also loved his dogs, Chloe and Itty Bitty.

In 1987, Richard Married the love of his life Lucinda (Cindy) Lou Blackwood from Ponca City, OK. From this marriage 3 children (that Richard was very proud of) were born; Dwayne Edward, Dustin Richard and Jessica Marie.
