Warren Adler, Ponca City resident, died on Monday, March 11, 2013 at St. John’s Hospital in Owasso. He was 91.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10am on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Odd Fellows Cemetery, under the direction of the Trout Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will greet friends for visitation on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Warren Adler was born on April 13, 1921 in Evansville, Indiana. He was the only son of Theodore and Mayme Magenheimer Adler. He grew up in Indiana and graduated from Fransisco High School. Warren worked for Sunbeam Company before joining the United States Army Air Corp in 1942. He was stationed in Waco, TX and then honorably discharged in 1945.
Warren married Dean Albers in Waco, Texas. They moved to Ponca City where Warren began working for Continental Oil Company. After his retirement, Warren served for several years as the Moose Lodge Administrator. He was very proud to have received the Pilgrim Degree of Merit, the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a member of the Moose Lodge. Warren enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball.
Family members include his daughters and their families, Terry and Gerald Stagner; Gayle and Ed Brehl; granddaughters, Kim Meloy and her husband Joe, and Jennifer Royster Coates; three great-grandchildren, Jessica Meloy, Meagan Royster and Jillian Royster, two sister-in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his grandson, Brad Royster.
Casketbearers include: Ed Brehl, Vance Edman, John Gilbert, Dr. Tim Gilbert, and Joe Meloy.
