Marie G. Springer longtime Ponca City resident passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 in the Grace Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jack Adams of New Hope Christian Fellowship Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Newkirk City Cemetery in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Marie was born January 27, 1927 in Oakland, California to Domingus and Hilda Silva. Marie grew up and graduated high School in California. She met and Married Millard Springer on June 8, 1946 in Carson City, Nevada and they made their home in California until they Moved in October of 1949 to Kaw City, Oklahoma. Marie enjoyed travelling and spending time with family during her early years and she was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She also enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include: 2 sons: Michael and wife, Donna Springer and Lester and wife, Lawanda Springer all of Ponca City, OK. Also surviving are numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband ,Millard in 1995, 1 brother and 2 sisters.
