Patsy Ann Huston Dorl passed away to a better place on Friday, June 9, 2017 in her home. A graveside funeral service, under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel, will be held for Patsy on Monday, June 12, 2017 at the Newkirk Cemetery in Newkirk, OK at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Brandon Pendleton and Reverend Michael Sweetmon will be coofficiating the ceremony. Pasty will be available for visitors who wish to pay their respects and by family and friends on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 1:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Patsy Ann Huston Dorl was born on a farm November 30, 1934 in Homestead, OK to John Riley Huston and Thelma Jane (Erb) Huston. She attended School at Liberty in 1941. She moved to Medford, OK with the family of five sisters and three brothers. The following year she moved to Blackwell, OK where she graduated from Blackwell High School in 1953. She worked at Kress department store. She was a nanny for a few years and baby-sat nieces and nephews. In 1956 she was married and had eight children. She moved Southeast of Newkirk to raise her children. She started working at Ponca City Public Schools in 1975. She went to work at the cafeteria for St. Joseph Hospital. After thirteen years of service she divorced and worked as a sitter for the elderly. She was a longtime member of Kildare Baptist Church. She is also a 50 year member of OHCE Club- fun and fundamental group. She loved her family very much and was so proud of them. Patsy loved the color red as it is a vivacious as she was. Patsy was very much a proper lady and was loved and respected in the community. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be missed.

Patsy is survived by her children Gary and Jerry Dorl of Ponca City, OK; Tracy and (Donna) Dorl of Newkirk; Samuel Dorl of Arkansas city; Cheryl (Randy) of Athens, Alabama; Cecilea (Mike) Wright of Ponca City, OK; Roxana Senseman of Ponca City, OK; one sister Bessis Tanner of Blackwell, OK; and seventeen grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death of her parents, three brothers Willie, Henry, and Loyd; four sisters, Rosa Rowe, Emma Nash, Elizabeth Huston and Dorothy (Virgil) Tanner of Peckman, OK, and daughter Katherine Dorl; one grandson Jacob Dorl; and a dear special aunt Minnie Huston.

A lunch will be held preceding the service at the Kildare Baptist Church in Kildare, OK. The lunch will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, June 12, 2017.

If you wish to make a donation in Patsy's name, the family has asked that they be made to the Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, who lovingly cared for Patsy in her final days.
