July 5, 1940 - June 17, 2023

Don Leatherman, resident of Braman, OK passed away on Saturday, June, 17, 2023 at Ascension St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. He was 82. To celebrate Don's life a memorial service will be held by the family at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Braman Community Church.

Don Leatherman, son of Fred and Lucille (Rhodes) Leatherman was born on July 5, 1940 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. He grew up 7 miles west of Braman where he helped his Dad farm. He attended LaBell School, finishing at Braman, then graduating from High School in Burbank, Okla.

Don was an avid coyote hunter and was a member of the Braman Saddle Club. He attended Braman Methodist Church and was a Braman Volunteer Firefighter for 25 years. Don worked for Jack Ford Tank Co. for 25 years and retired from Kay County District #3.

He is survived by his brothers, Bill Leatherman of Ponca City, Danny Leatherman of Braman, Ronnie Leatherman of Braman and Larry Leatherman of Blackwell; sisters, Ruth Unruh and Freda Veach, both of Ponca City. He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
