Virginia Sue Goodno
February 26, 1930 - July 12, 2015
Virginia Sue Goodno, resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 in Ponca City. She was 85.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Friday, July 17, 2015 at the First Baptist Church Newkirk, OK with Pastor Danny Cornish officiating. Burial will then follow at the Newkirk Cemetery in Newkirk, Oklahoma . Casketbearers will be Sam Goodno, Jake Goodno, Joey Goodno, Gary Goodno, John Sinelar, and Allen White. Honorary casketbearers will be Ike Glass Mickey Cantwell, Leroy Evans. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
Virginia was born on February 26, 1930 to Sam Harris and Eva Katie (Hunter) in Ponca City, OK. She was raised in Ponca City, Oklahoma and attended Ponca City Schools. Virginia married Elzie (Hoot) Goodno on July 19, 1946 in Winfield, Kansas. Virginia worked as Bookkeeper for Glass Trucking Company for 14 years and Jackson Clip Company for 6 years.
Virginia loved country dancing with her husband Hoot. She enjoyed watching kids play, quilting, and playing with her dogs.
She is survived by her Husband, Elzie (Hoot) Goodno of Ponca City, Oklahoma; Son Larry Goodno of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Preceded in death by her parents; One son, Lonnie Dean Goodno; daughter, Wynona Leigh Goodno.
