Marilyn Edith (Slater) Cloud
August 21, 1937 - January 15, 2024
Graveside services for Marilyn Edith Cloud, 86, Ponca City resident, will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 18, 2024 in the Newkirk Cemetery with Pastor Russ Aday officiating. Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittssworth Funeral Service. Visitation with the family present will be held from 5-7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Sunset Baptist Church.
Marilyn was born on August 21, 1937 in Tonkawa, the daughter of Russell Cyrus and Edith Lucille Price Slater and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, January 15, 2024 in Ponca City.
She was raised in the Pawnee-Kaw City area, graduating from Ponca City High School with the class of 1955. Marilyn met and married James Troy Cloud in Sulphur, Louisiana, on May 21, 1960. They moved to Ponca City where she remained for the rest of her life.
Marilyn worked various jobs as a secretary, retiring from the Ponca City Housing Authority. She was a member of Sunset Baptist Church where she was also the piano player. Marilyn loved to shop with her church friends.
Marilyn is survived by daughter, Shari Dagg and partner Chris Lehnertz of San Francisco, California; Lisa Fowler of Ponca City; two grandchildren, Kylie and husband Dylan Jackson of Ponca City, Peyton and wife Britt Fowler of Ponca City; great-grandchildren, Ryker, Blakely, Paige, Slater, Bayler, all of Ponca City.
