July 23, 1979 - August 25, 2021Hunter Jordon Mercer, loving mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend entered the pearly gates of Heaven on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at the age of 42 years old.
Hunter was born on July 23, 1979, at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City to Nellie Trent Mercer and Gordon Douglas Mercer. Hunter attended all 12 years of school in Norman, graduating from Norman High School in 1998. She attended UCO and Rose State. She was a proud member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. Hunter loved fishing with her dad and sons.
She is survived by her sons, Nolan Gordon Pickett and Celton James Pickett of Norman, OK; parents, Gordon and Nellie Mercer of Norman, OK; brother, Matthew Mercer of Norman, OK; sister, Amber Mercer Chavers and husband, Matt of Oklahoma City, OK; twin nieces, Blakey and Tatum Chavers of Oklahoma City, OK; grandmother, Colene Mercer of Blackwell, OK; aunts and uncles, Carla and Patrick Young of Ponca City, OK and Peggy and Charlie Hollars of Tennessee; cousins, R.J. Trent of Lawton, OK, Kevin, Lexi and Chloe Young, Kimberly, Patrick, JP, Caleb, Parker, and Ethan Culligan all of Tulsa, OK, Molly and Darren Bankstom, and Zane of Centerville, Georgia, Morgan and Tyler Overstreet, and Baby Boy Overstreet (due in December) of Huntersville, North Carolina; and numerous cousins from all over the U.S.
Hunter was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ann Steigleder Trent; uncle, Rick Trent; and paternal grandfather, Douglas Mercer.
