Eugenia “Faye” Cox Tyner

July 20, 1947 ~ April 5, 2021

Faye Tyner, 73, passed away on April 5, 2021, at home with her family by her side. She was born on July 20, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas to Everett and Dorothy (Baskin) Cox. She grew up with her two siblings spending her younger years in Enid before the family settled in Ponca City. Faye graduated from PoHi and stayed in the Ponca City area for the rest of her life.

Faye was very family oriented. Children had a special place in her heart. She raised two children of her own, Randy and Tammy, and adopted every child in the neighborhood as well. She supported her children, grandchildren, and neighborhood children in everything they endeavored. Whether it was attending ball games, creating craft works, or making precious memories with her annual New Year’s Eve sleep overs with her grandkids. Her example of a loving, caring mother and grandmother was top notch and something for others to strive for. Any excuse to get family together was Faye’s favorite, especially the Holiday’s. She used the holidays as a time to show her generous heart to those she loved. She also had a family tradition of monthly Sunday dinners with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Faye leaves behind her children, Randy and his wife Cindy Tyner, and Tammy and her husband Matt Keeler, grandchildren, Caitlyn Cline, Courtney Tyner, James Tyner, Brynna Keeler, Kelsey Keeler and Austin Keeler, great grandchildren, Hallie and Emma, her uncle Don Cox, along with numerous nieces, nephews and adopted family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Dorothy Cox, siblings, Charles Cox, and Connie Pameticky.

Family and friends will be able to pay their respects on Friday, April 9th, from 4pm-7pm, at Grace Memorial Chapel, 2016 N 14th St, Ponca City, OK. A Graveside Service will be held in Faye’s honor at 10:30am on Saturday, April 10th, at the Longwood Cemetery.

Words of encouragement and condolence messages may be left for the family online at www.gracememorialchapel.net.
