The graveside service for Blount Trice Sr. was held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at the Longwood Cemetery with Rev. Sam Steele, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
Blount C. "B.C" Trice Sr. was born on July 19, 1919 to Blount and Iva Mae (Lewis) Trice in Pawhuska, OK. and passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009, in Bartlesville, OK at the age of 89. He had been a long time resident of Ponca City.
His family moved to Cherokee, OK where he graduated from high school. He then served in the Army in WWII and was a Japanese Prison of War for 3 1/2 years. After the war he married Betty Jane Brite in 1946. They moved to Ponca City in 1952 where he retired from Conoco after 30 years.
Survivors include two sons, David of Huntsville of Alabama, Blount Jr. and his wife Corliss of Bartlesville, and Grandaughters Heather and Amy.
He was preceded in death by his parents Blount and Iva, his brother Mann, his wife Betty and their son Mike.
