Death Claims Ted Hockman
Funeral service for Theles H. (Ted) Hockman of 1018 North Peachtree will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Grace Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Carl A. Faulkner, pastor of Broadway Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Longwood Cemetery.
Hockman, 66, was pronounced dead on arrival at Ponca City Hospital Sunday morning about 3:15 o'clock.
Born Jan. 14, 1908, at Burbank, son of Lyman and Agnes Hockman, he received his education in Osage County. As a young man he worked at a lumber yard in Winfield, Kan. Later Hockman came to Ponca City and worked for Cities Service Oil company and Continental Oil Company.
He then moved to Cororan, Calif., where he was a truck farmer for some 22 years. Hockman returned to Ponca City in August 1968.
He married Mrs. Bernice Gray on Feb. 6, 1974, in Ponca City. Hockman's hobbies were hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Raymond Hockman, Fontana, Calif; one daughter, Mrs. Bill (Imogene) Drake, Fontana, Calif.; one brother, Eugene D. Hockman of Fairfix; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Stillwell, 413 North Lake, and Mrs. Gladys Groomer of Tempe, Ariz.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will be at the family home, 1018 north Peachtree.
