Longtime resident of Ponca City Mr. Donal Dewane Smart passed into eternity on May 24, 2012 in Ponca City, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years. Donal was born December 15, 1933 to his parents James Looney and Clara Birchett Smart in Boydsville, Arkansas.
Donal worked for Whitmore Co. pouring and dipping molds for several years. He enjoyed tinkering with his cars and singing karaoke. You could find Donal in the mornings at the local coffee shop visiting with all his friends. He was known to his family as a wonderful listener.
Donal is survived by his one sister: Donna Cooper of Ponca City and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: James Looney Smart and Clara Della Birchett Smart, two sisters: Juanita Creasey and Grace King, three brothers: Leon Smart, Enos Smart and infant brother J.L. Smart, two nieces: Shawn Martin and Ruby McDonald, two nephews: James Creasey and Russell Creasey.
Graveside services will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday May 30, 2012 at Longwood Cemetery with Pastor Don Stanton officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday May 29, 2012 at Grace Memorial Chapel.
