Gerald Dean North was born on December 31, 1936, the son of Rev. Charles Henry and Bertha Lena Russell North. He went to be with the Lord on January 16, 2019. He was 82 years old.
Mr. North grew up in a family that loved and honored God, and he left a clear testimony of his faith in Jesus for his salvation. He was a faithful father and provider and lived an active life as the president and owner of his plumbing company. He survived a stroke for some time, but later had additional problems with a stroke. He then resided in the Norman, Oklahoma Veteran's Center. On the 16th of this month, he suffered a heart attack and went to be with the Lord. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. and Mrs. Charles H. North, and his son Michael. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Bettie Maria, and his children Dan & Pam Skaggs and Leslie; his sisters Evelyn Thurmond, Charlene West and Betty Cramp, as well as his grandchildren, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral ceremony for Gerald will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel, Ponca City, Oklahoma. Following the ceremony, Gerald will be laid to rest at Longwood Cemetery.
