Glenn A. Griffith, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed Thursday, April 11, 2013 at his home. He was 95 years of age. 

Glenn was born May 15, 1917 in a dugout at Bliss, Oklahoma, the son of Ira Griffith and Minta (Stice) Griffith. He attended the Marland Public Schools. He was married to Edna Mae Wilkins on May 30, 1941 in Ponca City. He was employed with Conoco for 40 years, retiring in 1979 as an instrument technician in the Light and Oil Division. He was a charter member of Sunset Baptist Church where he was very active throughout his many years. His enjoyments were his family, fishing, woodworking, gardening, traveling, camping, and taking various bus tours with his church. 

He is survived by his two children, Glenna Kerner of Ponca City and Robert W. Griffith and wife, Teresa, of Newkirk; five grandchildren, Lori Shaw, Heather Page, Margaux Griffith, Aubrey Griffith and Kelsey Griffith; 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He also leaves behind a good friend, Carl Logan; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a great grandchild, Rian Keating; four sisters, Effie Clark, Millie Cooper, Ruth Vail and Velma Fisher. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Sunset Baptist Church with Pastor Matt Brown presiding. Interment will follow in the Longwood Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel. 

Casket bearers will be Aubrey Griffith, Margaux Griffith, Ashton Winters, Tyler Page, Koby Page and Jack Keating. Honorary casket bearers will be Kelsey Griffith, Lori Keating and Heather Page. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 1904 North Union, Suite 103, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601.
