Wanda May Alley, resident of Perry, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Perry Memorial Hospital. She was 62. Wanda was born June 9, 1948 in Dimmitt, Texas the daughter of Charles William Pennington and Agnes May Behrends Pennington. She graduated from Billings High School in 1966 and later earned her L.P.N. degree where she was in the top of her class. She was a member of the National Nursing Association. Wanda was employed at Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry, Oklahoma and her last place of employment was at Grace Living Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Wanda married Wayne Sanford Alley on October 6, 1967 in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and to this union seven children were born. Wanda enjoyed painting, reading and doing puzzles. But most of all she loved being with her family and taking care of her patients.
She is survived by her mother, Agnes May Pennington children, Boyce Alley, Faye Alley, Orrin Alley and wife, Rhonda, Henry Alley and wife, Tabitha, Santford Alley and wife, Frances and Linda Branch and husband, Donnie grandchildren, Jason Alley of the home, Shaylene, Chrysta, Kayla Joshua, Britton, Kalli, Caleb, Elizabeth, Joanna, Dannielle, Dayton, Regan, Zoe, Nichelle, Isaiah,Michael Morehouse Jonathan and Heaven brothers, Ray, Steve, Larry, Glen, Jimmy and Bill sisters, Wilma, Ruby, Penny and Darla as well as many numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Alley father, Charles Pennington brother, Dee Pennington son, William Will Bradford Alley and granddaughter, Whitney Murray.
Casket bearers for the service will be her sons, Boyce Alley, Orrin Alley, Henry Alley and Santford Alley grandson, Jason Alley and soninlaw, Donnie Branch. Honorary bearers will be her brothers, Ray Pennington, Steve Pennington, Larry Pennington, Glen Pennington, Jimmy Pennington and Bill Pennington and brotherinlaw, Roy Alley.
The service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Steve Smith, Pastor of the Nazarene Church of Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Longwood Cemetery.
