Barbara Sherrill
September 18, 1945 - December 26, 2024
Barbara Jean Sherrill, born September 18, 1945, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, as Barbara Jean Hudsonpillar, daughter of Veer J. and Verna M. Hudsonpillar, sister of Jack Hudsonpillar. It is with great sadness that Barbara passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 79 at her home in Ponca City, Oklahoma where she lived for the past 45+ years and raised her two children Kennedy L. Hudson and Kortney G. Allen.
Barbara is survived by her two children Kennedy and Kortney and her 4 grandchildren McKinzie, Zachary, Ethan and Greyden and two great grandchildren Audrey and Korra.
Barbara spent most of her career working for Conoco Oil Company as an accountant in Crude Oil Trading. Upon retiring in her early 50's, she enjoyed traveling with her husband Jim Sherrill, nannying for various families in the Ponca City area, gardening and camping. Barbara was heavily involved with the religious community her entire life and enjoyed nothing more than helping others. Although she was known as being a little "feisty and stubborn" she was without question loved by all. She will be greatly missed!
The services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday January 4, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church located at 408 S. 8th Street, Ponca City, Oklahoma, followed by the burial ceremony at Longwood Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
