October 6, 1936 - October 26, 2024
Darla Jean Church, 88, of Ponca City, OK passed away October 26, 2024, at her home with her loved ones by her bedside. A Graveside Ceremony will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the Longwood Cemetery Pavilion with Pastor Leon Veazey officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Trout Funeral Home and Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
Darla was born in Geary, OK on October 6, 1936, to Selmon and Sibyle (Box) Reynolds. She had two brothers and one sister. Darla played basketball for five years at Geary, OK.
She met and married the love of her life, Billy Church. They were married August 2, 1954. They had two daughters, Debra Church, and Donna Malone, and her husband, Monty. Darla has two grandchildren, Kari White, and Corey White, and three great-grandchildren, Romie, Sarah, and Dalton. She is preceded by her husband Billy in November. 2019.
Darla worked at Sanders Drug and Owens Illinois Can Company. Billy and Darla lived on a farm where they raised cattle until his death in November 2019. She was a very special woman. Momma loved volunteering her time to Days For Girls , and Hospice for twenty-five years . Thank you to mommas “special” friend at hospice, Judy Bales.
