Charlotte Ann Tellier, former Kaw City resident, passed Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at her home in Yukon, Oklahoma. She was 76 years of age.
Charlotte was born April 4, 1934 in a farm house Northeast of Ponca City, the daughter of George Raymond Lane and Edith Bush Lane. She was a 1952 graduate of Kaw City High School. She had worked at a drug store in Kaw City at the age of 13. She was married to Richard Dick Tellier in January of 1957. Her husband, Lt. Richard Tellier was killed while serving his country in 1958 and Charlotte was left to raise their infant son, Steven, with the help of her parents and siblings.
At one time Charlotte was employed as the Post Master of Kaw City. In 1964 she became secretary to the Director of Marketing for Aero Commander in Bethany, Oklahoma. She moved to Dallas, Texas in 1969 and was employed as the Presidents Administrative Assistant for Texas Pacific Oil Company. She returned to Oklahoma in 1976 and was employed with Rockwell International, now known as Gulfstream Aerospace Technologies. She had been administrative assistant to four of the companys presidents, retiring from Gulfstream in 2002.
Her enjoyments included spending time with her son and grandsons, buying and selling antiques, working a booth with her sister at various antique shows she enjoyed interior decorating and going to the casinos with her sister Sue.
She is survived by her son, Steven Richard Tellier and wife, Carla, of Yukon, Oklahoma one brother, Billy George Lane of Tulsa two grandchildren, Richard Louis Tellier of Mustang and Steven Joseph Tellier of Yukon two step grandchildren, Lisa Mae Thomas of Mustang and Joshua Lee Thomas of Yukon one niece Tracy Renee Lee and husband Bobby, and one nephew, Kenneth Raymond Lane. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edith Lane her husband, Richard her sister, Linda Sue Lane in 2006.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Grandview Cemetery in Kaw City. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
