DeDe Kerr, longtime resident of Shidler, passed Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the Ponca City Medical Center. She was 66 years of age.

DeDe was born January 24, 1949 in Shidler, the daughter of Sidney Lee Vaden and Hollis N. (Garrett) Vaden. She was a 1967 graduate of Shidler High School. She was married to James Franklin "Jim" Kerr on April 7, 1967 in Liberal, Kansas. Her enjoyments centered on spending time with her grandkids as she watched them grow up.

She is survived by her two sons, Joey Kerr of Shidler and Jimmy Kerr and wife Wacee, of El Reno, Oklahoma; two sisters, Shelly Sinclair and Betty Jordan and her husband Stephen; one brother, Bill Vaden; five grandchildren, William Kerr, Allison Kerr, Annie Kerr, Abel Kerr and Archer Kerr; nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jim; and one infant daughter.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Grandview Cemetery in Kaw City with John Mayhue of the Mission Christian Church of Sand Springs presiding. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
