Lillie (Janie) Robinson
July 28, 1948 - June 24, 2024
Lillie (Janie) Robinson, 75, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and granny great, entered heaven's gates on June 24, 2024. She entered this world on July 28, 1948, in Shidler, OK, born to Andrew and Betty (Vaden) Simmons.
Celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024 in Webb City Church of God, with Pastor Kevin Vogele and Pastor Phil Kizer officiating. Interment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery in Kaw City, OK. Visitation will be held at Webb City Church of God from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, June 28. The family has requested memorial donations made to Webb City Church of God in lieu of flowers.
Janie grew up in Shidler and attended Shidler Public Schools; except for a brief time in Skellytown, Texas. She met the love of her life, Richard Robinson, in the 8th grade and graduated from Shidler in 1966. On December 10,1966 she married her high school sweetheart. They made their home in Shidler. Janie attended cosmetology school that same year. Upon graduation, she began her 42-year career as a cosmetologist eventually becoming the owner of her own salon, Janie's Cozy Curl. She retired in June 2013. Janie grew up faithfully attending Webb City Church of God where she played piano, lead JAM Team and served in youth ministry. She attended a ventriloquist seminar in 1979 by 1985, she founded the evangelistic children's ministry team, Inner Mission Vents. Janie held ministerial credentials with Church of God of the Apostolic Faith for the past 34 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, writing (skits, children's ministry curriculum, programs, etc.), ventriloquism, playing music, and annual summer trips to Branson with her grandchildren.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard Robinson of the home; two daughters, Pastor Andrea Schatz and husband Craig of Ponca City, OK; Pastor LeAnn Culp-Harrington and husband Tom of Valonia, Arkansas; grandchildren Pastor Caleb Schatz and wife Bekah, Bri Schatz, Michaela Culp, and Brittany Culp; great grandchild Lynlee Blake Schatz and numerous spiritual children and grandchildren. Also surviving are her two fur babies, Ruby and Katie Mae.
Janie was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Betty Simmons; her bonus father, S.D. Sears and one son-in-law, TSgt Jeff Culp.
