Mary H. Holt of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Thursday afternoon, June 25, 2015, in the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Blackwell at the age of 99 years.
Mary H. Holt was born on October 2, 1915, in Braman, Oklahoma, to Orval and Nettie (Baumgardner) Hayes. She attended the Brown Union School north of Braman through the eighth grade. She married Alva E. Holt on July 8, 1943, in Blackwell. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, yard work, crocheting, needlepoint and packing picnic lunches to take day trips with Alva. She loved to spend time with her family.
She is survived by one sister, Myrtle Spiva of Blackwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and four sisters, Clara Hobough-Tickle, Helen McCleary, Betty Brown and Margret Ross.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 29, 2015, at the Braman Cemetery, Braman, Oklahoma, with Rev. Ned Moerbe of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.
A memorial has been established with the Trinity Lutheran Church c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 West Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
