Leota DeBoard ~ ~ ~ 1889-1945

Miss Leota Willbanks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Robert Willbanks, was born Dec. 23, 1889 in Sherman county, Missouri, and departed this life at the Blackwell General Hospital May 21, 1945 at the age of 56 years, 4 months, and 28 days.
She was united in marriage to Jesse C. DeBoard on Nov. 18, 1906 and to this union were born 12 children, of whom two sons, Reetis and Lendel preceded her in death in infancy.
The early part of her life was spent near Mountain View, Mo.
In 1928 she moved to Oklahoma where she lived in the Dilworth community until her death. During the last 14 years she worshipped at the Dilworth Church of God, where she was teacher of the Bible class at the time of her death.
Surviving are her husband, Jesse C. DeBoard; five daughters, Mrs. Pauline Evans and Mrs. Irene Brown, both of Newkirk; Mrs. Lorene Anderson, San Diego, Calif; and Charlene and Eileen of the home. Five sons, Cecil, Ponca City; Melvin, Hunnewell, Kans; Olen, Newkirk; Jesse Jr. in the armed forces, and Charles of the home. Also, four brothers, Caney and Lester Willbanks, Mountain View, Mo.; Leonard Willbanks, Newkirk; and Lawson Willbanks, Syracuse, Kans; 10 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
