Janet Lea Curl Bergman, 69 of Vernon, Texas died on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Services will be Friday, May 29, 2020 at 10:00 am at First United Methodist Church in Vernon, TX with Rev. Rusty Dickerson officiating. Interment will be held Saturday May 30, 2020 at 10:00 am at Braman Cemetery in Braman, OK.

Janet was born Friday, January 12, 1951 in Braman, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late J.K. Curl and the late Floyanna Gibson Curl. She married Arthur Bergman on June 30, 1970 in Braman, Ok. She was a graduate of Braman High School and a graduate of Central State College in 1973, she was a teacher at Texas Youth Commission.

Janet is survived by her husband Arthur Bergman of the home. her son, Seth Bergman and wife Krystal of Kyle, TX, her daughter, Melissa Whitworth Mathes of Colorado Springs, CO, one brother, Jim Curl and wife Cathy of Braman, OK; 4 grandchildren, Chrisann, Charity, William and Meradith; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Janet will lie in state from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening, May 29, 2020 at Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.

Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church in Vernon, TX.
