Jeanne Renee Stafford Young of Blackwell, Oklahoma, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at her home at the age of 61 years.

Jeanne Renee Stafford Young was born on September 11, 1952, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Donald Stafford and Shirley LooperBreece. She grew up in Blackwell and graduated from Blackwell High School. She married Larry Ivan Young on May 31, 1970, in Blackwell and she was a true farmer’s wife. She helped Larry move machinery, take lunches to the field and supported Larry in all of their farming activities. In 1982 she began working for the Blackwell Public Schools as a secretary for Parkside Elementary School. She retired in 2009. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blackwell. She loved camping and boating at numerous area lakes, her favorite being Skiatook Lake. She enjoyed needlepoint, cross-stitch and playing the piano and organ. Jeanne’s love for her family is unexplainable and her best times were spent taking her grandchildren to movies and other fun adventures. She touched many lives as a caring and loving person and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Young of Blackwell; two sons, Brent Young of Blackwell and Matt Young and wife Annilyn of Blackwell; her father, Donald Stafford and wife Clara of Blackwell; a sister, DawnelynnSwinford of Morrison; an uncle, Darrel Looper of Beaver, Oklahoma; three aunts, Laverna Wieland of Wichita, Kansas, Doris Samuel and husband Don of Kaw City, and Mary Hall and husband Nathan of Ponca City; and four grandchildren, Chanley, Hunter, Andrew and Mason Young of Blackwell.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Breece; her step-father, Bob Breece; and an aunt, Jan Ritter.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 19th in the Blackwell Cemetery with Rev. Randy Ratliff of the First Baptist Church officiating.

A memorial has been established in her honor with the Blackwell Public Library and Blackwell Associated Charities in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
