Betty Jean Smith
October 4, 1924 - January 4, 2025

Betty Jean Smith of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away on January 4, 2025, at her home in Blackwell at the age of 100 years.

Betty Jean Smith was born on October 4, 1924, in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, to Bill and Minnie (Owens) Snider. She graduated from Blackwell High School and in December of 1947 she married Clifford Smith. She served her family as a homemaker while helping her husband with this electrical business. He preceded her in death in 2007 and she continued to make Blackwell her home. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Blackwell.

She is survived by a son, Rob Smith of Mt. Dora, Florida; a daughter, Linda Devine of Berkley, California; four grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Clifford Myron Smith; and six siblings, Irene, Maryetta, Billy, Bob, Lloyd and Phillip.

A service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 10th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Bozarth of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.

A memorial has been established in her honor with Trinity Lutheran Church, 125 Vinnedge Ave., Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
