Danny Reese Rowe, age 63, long time resident of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at his home.
A memorial ceremony to celebrate Danny's life will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the Trout Funeral Home of Tonkawa with Joe Kreger officiating. Danny will be laid to rest privately at the Blackwell Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home of Blackwell.
Danny was born on April 27, 1956 as the third son to Harrison E. Rowe and Frances Alice Moore Rowe in Blackwell, OK. He was raised in Blackwell, OK, graduating high school there in 1974. After high school, he attended Northern Oklahoma College and then Oklahoma State University where he received a bachelor's degree in Agronomy. After college, Danny was hired by Cargill and served as a grain elevator manager in northwest Oklahoma, and northern Indiana. The family returned to Blackwell, his heartland, in the early 1980's to help on the family farm. From there, Danny farmed and ranched in the area until his passing. He was a sports nut and supported Oklahoma State athletics and the St. Louis Cardinals. However, above the farm and his beloved sports teams, Danny treasured his friends and family, especially his cherished grandchildren. It was almost guaranteed "Pa Dan" would be sitting in the stands rooting for his grandchildren in any of their sporting events.
Survivors include Trudy Rowe of Braman, son Tyson Rowe and wife Whitney of Blackwell, daughter Haley Smith and husband Casey of Nashville, TN. brother, Ted Rowe of Ponca City, grandchildren: Bree Rowe, Grant Rowe, Tylee Rowe, Emersen Smith, and Braylee Smith as well as many nieces, nephews and good friends.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Charles.
Memorial contributions in Danny's name may be made to the Blackwell Elks Lodge BPOE 1347, PO Box 128, Blackwell, OK 74631.
