Michael Reser of Pond Creek, Okla., died Sunday morning, Nov. 4, 2012, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid, Okla., at the age of 58 years.
Michael Lee Reser was born Feb. 9, 1954, in Blackwell, Okla., to Verne L. and Mary Eloise (Hawkins) Reser.
He attended Blackwell Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1972.
He loved to ride his motorcycle and was an avid gun collector and shooter. He also enjoyed gardening and sharing his produce with friends along with bird watching, hunting and fishing. Other interests included building and working on computers. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his mother, Eloise Reser of Blackwell, Okla.; brother, David Reser and wife Janet of Blackwell, Okla.; sister, Linda Reser of Blackwell, Okla.; niece, Dawn Sheaffer and husband Mike of Dallas, Texas; nephew, Kyle Reser and wife Casey of Edmond, Okla.; two great-nieces, Elle Sheaffer and Evelyn Reser; and good friends, Jose Angeles and wife Adriana of Blackwell, Okla., and their children, Benjamin, Cecilia and Isaac.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, in Blackwell Cemetery, with Kevin Bookout of First Free Will Baptist Church officiating.
Casketbearers will be Andy Varenhorst, Jose Angeles, Benjamin Angeles, Kyle Reser, Mike Sheaffer and Ford Simpson. A memorial in his honor has been established with the Blackwell Wrestling Booster Club in care of Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 West Padon, Blackwell, OK 74631.
