Brett Dean Oberlender of Ponca City, Oklahoma, died Saturday, January 22, 2022, at his home in Ponca City at the age of 64 years.
Brett Oberlender was born October 26, 1957 to Harold and Mary Oberlender of Blackwell Oklahoma.
He attended Blackwell schools and graduated in 1976. After graduating highschool he went on to graduate from vo-tech and worked in many trades such as carpentry and welding until 2017.
Brett was called into ministry at a young age and reached many people through one on one fellowship. Once he discovered Christ's love for him nothing else mattered, he spread the message of Christ every where he went and was one of the main reasons his family got saved.
Over his lifetime, he enjoyed camping trips, fishing, and wood working projects, but his most loved way of spending his time was with family and friends, it has been said he never met a stranger.
Brett was a loving, kind and genuine person. He will be greatly missed by those he has left behind.
He was preceeded in death by his parents Harold and Mary Oberlender. He is survived by his siblings along with nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service has already been held. Burial is in the Blackwell Cemetery.
