Dolores Diane Moss
March 25, 1957 - November 16, 2024
Dolores "Diane" Moss, Blackwell resident, died on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024. She was 67.
Dolores was born on March 25, 1957 in Chino, California to Donald and Barbara Wellman. She grew up in California and graduated from Chino High School in 1975. She continued her education at Cal Poly Poma and graduated with a nursing degree in 1979. She married Dennis Moss on July 31, 1994 in Colorado. They moved to Blackwell in 2012. Diane worked many years as a labor and delivery nurse, which she greatly enjoyed.
Diane loved fishing and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed being her granddaughter's biggest fan at her sporting events. Diane's family will miss her witty and bubbly personality.
Diane was active at First Christian Church and First Free Will Baptist over the years. She taught Sunday School and vacation bible school at Free Will and helped out the youth program at First Christian. She always did what she could to help out the church and was always involved. She was not only a Grandmother to her grandchildren but to all of her grandchildren's friends as well.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Moss of the home; her mother, Barbara Wellman of Blackwell, Son, Damion Kimbrel; grandchildren; Chesney Kimbrel, Landri Kimbrel, Channing Kimbrel, Jayla Kimbrel; Siblings, Edward Smith, Brian Wellman (Wife: Annette Wellman), Donald Wellman (Wife: Cindy Wellman).
A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024 at the First Christian Church of Blackwell, with Pastor Jeff Koch officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
Casketbearers are Brian Wellman, Donald Wellman, Jimmy Hooks, Brandon Wellman, Dylan Schaus, and Damion Kimbrel.
