She then furthered her education by attending Vo-Tech in Drumright where she studied pre-med. In 2004, Winema gave birth to Kylie and later in 2012, Emily was born. She enjoyed crocheting, playing adult softball and various handcrafts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Velda Hughes; her biological mother, Sharon Clites; her grandparents, Carl and Olive Ames; a sister, Veronica Carlson; a brother, Mike Hughes; and brother-in-law, Shane McCleary.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 12th at Bethesda of Blackwell Church with Rev. John West III officiating. Burial will follow at the Blackwell Cemetery.
