Judy Mae Gard of Blackwell, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 76 years.
Judy Mae (Wilson) Gard was born on December 25, 1947 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Dudley Lee and Reva Geraldine (Evans) Wilson. She grew up in Tonkawa and attended Tonkawa Public Schools. Judy married Johnny Gard on May 18,1973 in Billings, Oklahoma. They settled their roots in Blackwell while she worked at Southwest Cupid and later Asbury Machine. She was a caretaker for her parents.
Judy was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Blackwell where she loved to serve. She enjoyed her grandkids, crocheting, cooking, making homemade noodles, baking banana bread, sewing, listening to gospel music, and eating the fish her brothers and grandson caught. Her family was very important to her. She was there as much as she could be for all of them. She loved to attend her grandchildren's activities.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband Johnny on January 8, 2018, her parents, her brothers Jerry Wilson, Jim Wilson and Dave Wilson.
Judy is survived by daughters Tonya Kelly and husband Brian of Blackwell, Kristi Wolfe and husband JD of Bartlesville, Trisha Johnson and husband Kris of Peckham. Grandkids, Megan Hutton, Morgan Smith, Josh Kelly, Braden Johnson, Chantelle Evans, and Aaliah Johnson. She is survived by 7 great granddaughters Aubree Kelly, Hannah Kelly, Elma Johnson, Maelyn Evans, Nora Evans, Mila Johnson and Clea Johnson. She is survived by her brother Mark Wilson and wife Mary, sister in law Sharon Wilson, sister in law Lorna Wilson and brother in law Jim Gard and wife Sandy. Along with several nieces and nephews.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 8th in the First Free Will Baptist Church in Blackwell with Rev. Kevin Bookout officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Ethan Evans, Josh Kelly, Owen Smith, Nick Hutton and Braden Johnson.
Memorials can be made in her honor to the charity of choice.
