David Paul Furber longtime Ponca City resident passed away August 15, 2019 in Oklahoma City with his loving family by his side. He was 74 years of age. David was born April 29, 1945 in Ponca City to Charles L. and Phyllis J. Womack Furber.
David grew up in Ponca City, OK and graduated from Po High in 1964. He also attended college at Cowley County, Arkansas City, Ks and NWOSU Alva, OK. David was a Jack of all trades, He served in Law enforcement for numerous years and he was also a Journeyman Electrician. David was a past member of the Moose Lodge and Knights of Pythias. He enjoyed Country Western Dancing, riding and raising Horses, working on his Model Trains, Riding Motorcycles and he was also an amateur radio operator.
Survivors include; 2 sons; Randy Furber and wife Amy, Jonathan McCleary. 1 daughter; Stephanie French and husband Allan, all of Ponca City, OK. 3 grandchildren; Joey Furber and Fiancé Natalie Baldwin, Lane French and Dakota French. Also surviving are 1 niece and 1 nephew.
David was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters.
