Barbara Susanne (Koesler) Faussett, 74, of Blackwell passed away on December 22, 2019 in Norman, Oklahoma.
She was born in Vinita, Oklahoma on February 4th, 1945 the daughter of Cornelius Koesler and Hattie Mae (Jost) Koesler. She attended Sacred Heart Academy Parochial School and later Blackwell General Hospital School of Practical Nursing, receiving her LPN Nursing Degree. After graduation she married Orten Dean Faussett in Vinita, Oklahoma.
She worked as a nurse for 44 years in many capacities, including surgical intensive care, and most recently at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Blackwell. Her entire career was dedicated to caring for others.
She is survived by five children, Teresa Marie Fox of South Haven, KS, Michelle Lynn Joachims of Norman, OK, Debra Diane Blaszak of Tekoa, WA, Christopher Dean Faussett of Enid, Susanne Rene Dickinson of Moore, OK; grandchildren, Rachel and Christopher Chambers of Wichita, KS, Christine and David Joachims of Norman, OK, Ali and Wyatt Blaszk of Tekoa, WA, Tyler and Elijah Dickinson of Moore, OK; and half-brother, Rene Koesler of Tulsa, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bernard Francis Koesler of Vinita, OK; and her husband, Orten Dean Faussett who died on October 7th, 1994.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2019 in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel. Private burial will take place at the Blackwell Cemetery at a later date.
