Charlotte Victoria Ellis of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Sunday, November 24, 2024, at her home in Blackwell at the age of 75 years.
Charlotte Victoria Ellis was born on November 10, 1949, in Blackwell to Beryl and Maggie Dee (Miller) Newland. She grew up in Blackwell and graduated from Blackwell High School in 1968. She worked at the Plainsman Restaurant for over twenty years until her retirement. She married Billy Ellis on December 18, 1981, and they made Blackwell their home. She loved to cook and bake, especially for birthdays, family gatherings and holidays. She loved teaching her grandchildren and great grandchildren how to cook.
She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Lynn McClaflin and Stephanie Fox; a son, Michael Wayne Gaither and wife Christal; a brother, John Newland; two sisters, Sheila Newland-Flaker and Sharon Lowder; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Ellis; a daughter, Janet Dee Butzback; and a brother, George Newland.
A memorial service is set for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 5th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
