Marville L. Denton of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died early Tuesday morning, September 6, 2022, in the Shawn Manor Nursing Home in Ponca City at the age of 95 years.
Marville L. Denton was born on May 10, 1927, in Fairfax, Oklahoma to parents Harold Phillip Sawyers and Lela (Wardlow) Sawyers.
She married Vester L. Denton on August 17, 1947. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1998.
Survivors include children, Linda L. Brown of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Harold Lee Denton of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Bertha Marie Garcia of Blackwell, Oklahoma and Terry E. Denton of Midwest City, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022, in the outdoor chapel at Blackwell Cemetery with James W. Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Blackwell Cemetery.
