Ella Delores Currier of Ponca City, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Ponca City Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Ponca City, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2020 at Blackwell Cemetery. Burial will follow in Blackwell Cemetery.

Ella Delores Currier of Ponca City, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Ponca City Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Ponca City, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years.

Ella Delores Fore was born on April 30, 1933 in Jefferson, Oklahoma the daughter of Curtis Earl Fore and Elsie Catherine (Clinton) Fore.

She married Charles Fredrick Currier in Van Buren, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1993.

She was also preceded in death by seven siblings, James Earl Fore, Don Orval Fore, Gerald Ervin Fore, Irma Norene Boyd Fore, Iris Florence Webb Fore, Jacob Neil Fore; and two grandsons.

Survivors include children, Rebecca Hodgson and husband Tucker, Cindy Smith and husband Kelly, Nick Currier and wife Becky, and Allen Currier; brother-in-law, Willie Currier; as well as 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Ella began working for the Nardin school cafeteria in 1967 and later for Blackwell Junior High School in 1972 and retired as the head cafeteria manager on December 15, 1995. She was also a dedicated farm wife and could drive just about anything that had wheels.

She was strong in her faith, and was a member of Nardin United Methodist Church, Blackwell United Methodist Church, and Newpoint Church. She enjoyed attending various bible studies and was proud of the fact that she had the same bible for her entire life.

She will be remembered as a wonderful cook, a loving mother and grandmother, and for her witty sense of humor. She enjoyed gardening, as well as crocheting and knitting.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Blackwell Cemetery. Burial will follow in Blackwell Cemetery. Masks are required, and social distancing guidelines are encouraged.

Viewing for Ella will take place from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7 at the funeral home.
