July 5, 1936 - August 11, 2018

Wadonna Joan Corn, age 83, of Kingwood, TX, and formerly of Blackwell, Oklahoma passed away after an extended illness on Saturday, August 11, 2018, in the Total Loving Care Home in New Caney, Texas. She was born July 5, 1936, at Blackwell, OK to Vernon Russell and Twila (Smith) Harris. Wadonna graduated eighth grade from Bethel School and Blackwell High School in 1954.

On December 31, 1954, Wadonna married Jimmie Corn and he preceded her in death on September 23, 2007. She and Jimmie made their home in Blackwell before moving to Kingwood, Texas in 1987. Wadonna was a 911 operator for the Harris County Sheriff’s Department until she retired. After her husband’s death she continued to make Kingwood her home, caring for her flowers and plants in her yard, reading, and having friends and family stop and visit.

Survivors include, one daughter, Terri Brendle and husband Ray, Kingwood, Texas; two sons, Steve Corn and wife, Linda, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and David Corn and wife, Missy, Blackwell, Oklahoma; one brother, Danny Harris and wife, Olga, Newkirk, Oklahoma; two sisters, Carolyn Chaufty and husband, L. J., Plano, Texas, and Twila Frohock and husband, Ron, Plano, Texas; one sister-in-law, Beth Harris, Tucson, Arizona. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Wadonna was preceded by her husband, parents and one brother, Lindell Harris.

The family will greet friends 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Roberts and Son Funeral Home, Blackwell, Oklahoma.

Graveside Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 16th at the Blackwell Cemetery, Blackwell, Oklahoma, with Ray Hackney, officiating.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
