October 19, 1938 - March 19, 2020

Barbara Jean Cole, 81, of Blackwell, Oklahoma, left this earth on March 19, 2020, in Oklahoma City. A private burial will take place at the Blackwell Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home, Blackwell.

Barbara was born on October 19, 1938, in Milfay, OK, to Charles Lewis and Delilah Pearl (Clonts) Danner. She attended Blackwell High School, graduating in 1956. On July 31, 1956, she married Duane McConnell. To that union, two daughters were born; Phyllis and Pamela. On December 15, 2007, she and Tinch Cole were married in Blackwell.

Barbara worked many years as a sales associate for Walmart. She loved to sew and was an excellent seamstress. She also enjoyed crafting and scrapbooking. She made each of her grandchildren a special scrapbook, highlighting their individual personalities. Barbara also enjoyed attending family reunions and taught Vacation Bible School for many years. There were very few people Barbara met that she did not like.

She is survived by her husband, Tinch, of the home; daughters, Phyllis Cobb and her husband, Rhett, of Edmond, OK, Pam Brown and her husband, Mark, of Chillicothe, MO; grandchildren, Sabrina Stark and her husband, Paul, of Edmond, Shanell Westerheide and her husband, John "Bunkie", of Edmond, Reese Brown, Erin Brown, Allie Brown, all of Chillicothe, MO; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Don Danner, of Phoenix, AZ; 4 step-daughters and numerous family members and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; a brother who died in infancy; siblings, Pauline Rutter, Virgil Danner, Bob Danner, Helen Hightower, Charles Danner, and a step-son.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ's Church, 1203 S 6th St, Blackwell, OK 74631.
