Carole June Childers of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died June 14, 2017, in the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home at the age of 78 years.

Carole June Childers was born on August 22, 1938, in Bolivar, Missouri, to Willard and Irene (Slagle) Wilcox. She loved to spend time with her family and served her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed planting flowers and could grow anything and loved her animals. Our mother taught us to love each other. She was proceeded in death by her son Timothy Wilson, her husband, Jack Childers, her mother Irene Wilcox, and her father Willard Wilcox.

She is survived by her daughters, Diana Roseborough, and husband Patrick of Moore, Oklahoma, Denise Hindman, and husband Clint of Blackwell, Dedra Marcom, and husband Barry of Houston, Texas. Grandchildren are Princeton Roseborough, Patrick Roseborough; Shawn LaBlue, Shannon Plott, Ashley Campbell, Alisha Campbell-Harrison, Nat Hindman, Natasha Hindman; Christopher Marcom, and Aaron Marcom. She has 2 great grandchildren.

A memorial graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 26th in the Blackwell Cemetery with Rev. Kyle Jones of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
