Services Thursday for Ed Balthus, 71
Funeral services for Ed Balthus, 71, 409 East Blackwell, who died at his home at 10 p.m. Monday, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Harry M. Roark, pastor, officiating.
Mr. Balthus was born Dec. 20, 1882, in Denison, Tex. He had made his home in Blackwell for the past 38 years. He was a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a brother, Louie F. Balthus, Walnut Creek, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Effie Morrison, Blackwell, and 10 nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in the IOOF cemetery under direction of the Porter Funeral Home.
Rites for Ed Balthus Thursday Afternoon

Pallbearers will be Vassar Dyer, V. A. Roseberry, Harlan Robbins, Bill Flickinger, O. A. Raffety and Joe Stout.
